Finca La Ceiba: This We Are. In This We Believe.
In the 1920's, members of the Londoño family were granted homestead rights over a land called La Argelia, which was later turned into several coffee and cattle Haciendas.
At La Ceiba today, we strive to maintain the quality agriculture and the care for the land that our ancestors taught us.
The Londoño family is linked to the wellbeing of the region, and for close to a century we have worked for the social progress and the benefit of the region and, in particular, of our workers.
We are commited to raising quality, selected cattle, and our calves are very appreciated in local markets, to the point that we seldom have to auction them, because loyal buyers seek them out for their quality.
To process our coffee, we use technology that saves energy and water. We process byproducts before we return them to the ground, and we compost the pulp.
We use only natural fertilizers, and only use chemical in case of extreme necessity.
We protect our trees and natural forests. We clean them, trim them and harvest them under the supervision of a forest engineer and specialized personnel, always with the required permits of the local authority for the protection of the environment.
Yes: In this we believe and for this we work! And if you share these values, please support our efforts by navigating our site and leaving us a message of encouragment in our contact page. And thank you.
