La Ceiba Farm
In the 1920's, members of the Londoño family were granted homestead rights on a land called La Argelia. This property was later divided among several members of the family. Our grandparents, Doctor Santiago Londoño and his wife Emma Londoño, took over the part that became Hacienda La Argelia, and which today is divided into several farms that are still in the ownership of their third generation, including, among others, La Ceiba, La Argelia, La Violeta, Samanes and La Tigrera.
Located in the middle of Colombia’s Coffee Triangle, Finca La Ceiba presently raises quality cattle in small scale, and produces sustainable coffee, plantain and guadua (bamboo). Other pages in this website provide information about each of these activities and our agricultural practices, including our maintenance of the forests, our respect for nature and the good care of animals.
In 2019 we opened a five-room hotel with spectacular vistas of the mountains that separate the Departments of Quindío and Valle del Cauca, and the splendorous sunsets of Colombia’s west. Information about this hotel can be found through the main menu on this page.
May we invite you to navigate our website to get to know us better, and if you please, send us a message of support for our agricultural practices. And Thank you!
